What’s Troubling the Beast? – Marshawn Lynch’s DUI Suppression Hearing

Running back Marshawn Lynch (#24) didn’t practice yesterday because of a knee injury.  According to Mike Florio of  NBC ProFootball Talk, 12’s should not to worry because Lynch would play in this Sunday’s Week #9 match-up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per a league source.

According to the Seahawks injury report, Lynch did not participate in practice on Thursday due to a knee injury.

A suppression hearing in Lynch’s DUI case was scheduled for 9:00 a.m. this morning (November 1st) in Superior Court of Alameda County in California.

Is it possible that Lynch actually had to fly to Oakland yesterday in preparation for the suppression hearing and appearance in court today?  I theorized this summer that Lynch would be missing practice in Week #9 after the Monday Night Football match-up against the Rams.  It does seem reasonable that Lynch would have to be present in the courtroom.

**UPDATE**

In a news conference this afternoon, head coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Marshawn Lynch did return to practice on Friday.  Ian Furness of 950AM KJR reported on his show that Lynch’s attorney Ivan Golde advised that the judge in the case denied the motion to suppress evidence in the DUI case.  A trial readiness hearing is scheduled for December 27, 2013.
